It's been kind of a crazy week...
Mr. Hare had a lump removed from his side. Nothing to worry about just a fatty tumor - a lipoma to be exact. He's never had so much as a stitch so he was very nervous but he did very well and is recovering. You can see more pictures here: McRib
I myself had a close call on Friday night. A drunk driver plowed through a light I was sitting at. She hit three cars, the last being the one right in front of me before hitting a pole. Luckily no one was terribly injured. It was probably the most frightening thing I have ever witnessed. I can't help but think about the course of events...if I had left a couple minutes earlier or if this woman had not turned slightly to the left how the outcome could have turned out differently. Needless to say, I am grateful to still be here.
Also, this week we were very sad to hear of the passing of Jay Reatard. My first encounter with Jay was in Memphis '97. My roommate came home with an entourage of people one night saying these are The Reatards and did I mind if they spent the night. With a name like that how could I say no? So they did.
So in a nutshell that was the week Hopefully this coming week will be a little less dramatic. Here is the update of portraits and Hare's beard...
Day 15: This isn't a typical portrait for me but they were the only pics I ended up taking on Friday and I thought it was appropriate. The driver that wreaked all the havoc is the blonde blur next to the man in the reflective vest.
